With no current flowing to the magnetic coil there is no magnetic energy in the power input plate. Thus there is no magnetic field in the ferromagnetic particle slurry between the power input plate and the power output plate.

The output power shaft remains stationary until current flows through the magnetic coil as seen in the following pages.
